Dear Parent,
Tomorrow Fri. Oct 10th is our field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. Children should wear their uniform or P.E clothes depending on the weather. Remember the car seats.
This week is fire safety week. Mr. Brian Lesch was kind enough to give us a demonstration on fire safety, explaining about all the fire equipment a fire fighter uses in an emergency. He also let each child experience being a fire fighter by putting on his gear. the children were thrilled and asked many interesting questions. They also got to shoot out water so the children could experience how far the water can shoot.
Here's some important upcoming events: As part of our Kindergarten Religion program we often tell stories about the lives of our Saints. As you know November 1st if the FEAST OF ALL SAINTS. As a class project. I am asking the children to choose a Saint of their choice and dress accordingly. As November 1st is a Saturday we will be celebrating it on Friday November 7th at the first Friday Mass. A simple costume will do.
There are several books about saints, with pictures in our classroom. If you need some idea, come in and I will help you. Your child should be able to say a sentence or two about the saint he or she represents. This is 50% of their Religion grade.
We will also start a raffle as a Thanksgiving project. All proceeds go to the missions. Tickets are a quarter. Parents are welcome to participate. If any of you would like to donate prizes for the raffle, we would greatly appreciate it.
The next exciting event is our Math-A-Thon. Thurs. Oct. 16th is this event. Oh Yes! Kindergarten will be participating. It will be on the Math concepts we have covered so far.100% of what you bring in goes toward your family's assessment. not only is this educational, you are also helping yourself. It's a win win situation. I hope Kindergarten class will be the big winners!
Thank you and God Bless.

Hello Parent,
It is hard to believe that four weeks of school has gone by already. Your children have adjusted very well to their new daily routine. I am pleased to tell you that we are making good progress.
Here's a few reminders and information:
The skating party is rescheduled for Wed. Sept. 24th at 6:00 p.m.
The race/ethnicity form went home today(Fri. 19th). Please be sure to fill it out and send it back to school as soon as possible.
Free dress for $1.00 on Fri. Sept.26th. The proceeds go towards the new window that will be installed between the day care room and the Library, so the older children will be able to do their homework with supervision.
When your child brings homework on Wednesdays please make sure the work is done neatly and correctly. children do neat work in class as they are shown, but somehow the homework is not done as well. Some of your children had to repeat the work during recess. :(
Please remember Fri. is share day. reminder your children to bring a board game on Fridays.
Thank you
Manel

Dear Parent,
This is to let you know that your child is bringing home a LENTEN box. This could be a family project for the period of the six weeks of Lent. Please have all of your family participate in giving alms during this season.
"thank you" to all of your dedication to the poor. You have been extremely generous to the less fortunate in keeping with our Holy Father, Pope Francis' message to eliminate global hunger. I understand the daily demands we all have to face as parents but we do have a responsibility to take care of the less fortunate. In Matthew's gospel Jesus Said "WHATEVER YOU DO TO THE LEAST OF MY BROTHERS THAT YOU DO UNTO ME". Your reward will be great in heaven.
May God bless you and reward you.

Dear Parent,
March 5th is Ash Wednesday. This is a very important day in our Catholic tradition as it is the first day of Lent. We are all going to Mass that day and will be receiving ashes as a symbol of our immortality. Every child is to bring a can of food on that day to take to church.this is to remind us that Lent is a time of alms giving.
On Fri. March 7th is our next spelling test. The spelling words are: SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT,NINE and TEN. Most of your children did an excellent job on the last spelling test. CONGRATULATIONS!
